Classic Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

3 cups (uncooked) macaroni

12 slices Hautly American Cheese

1 egg, beaten

1 cup milk

2 Tbs. butter or margarine


Directions:

Boil macaroni according to package directions.  Drain. In a 2 quart greased casserole dish, place one half of the cooked macaroni. Layer with 6 slices of cheese. Layer remaining macaroni over cheese. Follow with remaining cheese slices.  Dab butter over cheese. Mix egg and milk, pour over macaroni and cheese.

 

Bake at 350°F. for 30 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.  Top will be browned.

 

Tip:   Add 2 cups broccoli or ground meat for a hearty variation.
